Volkswagen driver smashes brand new car into dealership’s windows

What a nightmare this is! A Volkswagen driver has made a meme of themselves on Wednesday after they smashed a brand new car right into the store front of a dealership in Durban.

VOLKSWAGEN DRIVER CRASHES CAR THROUGH DEALERSHIP WINDOW

The exact details aren’t too clear as it stands, but it’s believed the person was a customer at the dealership they crashed into. A photo taken at the scene shows that the car collided with the windows from the inside.

It’s likely that this calamitous motorist was eager to test out this new motor – and set-off way too prematurely. Either way, the impact has been devastating for the dealership, which is now looking at a hefty repair bill.

DURBAN DEALERSHIP SUFFERS SHOCK SMASH

Emer-G-Med were the first responders on the scene. They confirmed that there were no serious casualties to report on Wednesday afternoon – but we’ve no doubt that someone’s ego has suffered an almighty bruising.

“RV14 responded to a Volkswagen dealership in the Durban CBD. Reports from the scene are that a customer accidentally drove a brand new vehicle through the shop front windows. There were no serious injuries on scene.”

It doesn’t get much more embarrassing than this, we’re afraid. This rather unfortunate event is now spreading like wildfire on social media, with several Facebook commenters asking if the driver ‘bought their licence from Shoprite’.

That’s gotta hurt. However, the only thing that’s damaged here is infrastructure. Panes of smashed glass and twisted steel frames aren’t ideal, but they’re a damn site better than the human equivalent.

The dealership was closed off on Wednesday afternoon, as a result of the crash.
