St Andrews School for Girls announced that for the 32nd year in succession our matriculation class has achieved a 100% pass rate allowing all the girls to study at tertiary level. 99% of the girls received university exemption.
While they highlight the matric top achievers at St Andrew’s, they also acknowledge the hard work and personal accomplishments of each girl and appreciate the dedication and commitment to their learning. St Andrews School of Girls celebrate each student who achieved their personal best. 2020 was not an easy year due to Covid-19 and lockdown, however, the resilience of the staff and girls ensured and secured these wonderful results.
The girls have written the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations where candidates must write a minimum of seven subjects. Some girls took on the additional challenge of Advanced Programme Mathematics and Advanced Programme English. These do not count for university points but extend the number of possible distinctions achieved.
The statistics below are based on the results of all the grade 12s at St Andrews School for Girls:
Please note that Gabrielle Padiachy is the top student of St. Andrews School of Girls and is placed on the IEB Outstanding Achievement list for being ranked within the top 5% of students nationally in 6 or more subjects and achieved 80% or more in Life Orientation.
