More rainfall on the way this week for most of the country.
Weather models are suggesting more rainfall for the country this week. This is due to a Cut Off Low due to make landfall late Tuesday night over southern Namibia and moving into South Africa. This system could bring much-needed rain over the drought-stricken Northern Cape.
Rainfall is expected today over the far northeastern parts of the country. Tomorrow we could see showers and thundershowers in the southern parts of Namibia, northern and central parts of the Northern Cape, and parts of the North West. Then on Wednesday and Thursday, we could see showers and thundershowers over all 9 provinces as the Cut Off Low moves into the country. Most rainfall is expected on Thursday.
The system is expected to leave the country by Friday.
This is an advanced forecast and things are expected to change either for the good or the bad. We will keep you informed.
