Grace Trinity welcomes new staff members

Grace Trinity School for Girls proudly welcomed seven new staff members into the fold in 2020.

Spread across both the primary and high schools, new staff members are very excited to bring their unique teaching styles to the multi-faceted environment at Grace Trinity.

Ms K Ling, appointed as the Physical Education teacher to Foundation Stage learners, is passionate about teaching and learning from the girls. Previously at Rietvlei Zoo Farm where Grace is located, she is looking forward to sharing her passions with the girls.

Having made the move from Bloemfontein, Mrs H de Wet joins Grace Trinity as the Visual Arts and Afrikaans teacher in the high school. Creativity inspires Mrs de Wet, who says you will often hear classical piano music coming from her classroom. “It makes my soul smile” she declares.

As a Gracie Old-Girl and previous head girl, Ms M Lee is well positioned to continue the values held so dear at Grace Trinity. Now in the position of Cultural and Spiritual Co-Ordinator, she looks forward to enhancing cultural pursuits at the school, while continuing to guide the girls in their spiritual journey.

The high school drama and English departments welcome Mrs L Freire, who previously taught these subjects at a Parktown-based school. Patience and kindness are guiding principles to her, but she does warn that she can become loud when teaching that which she is passionate about!

Signing up for grade 1 duty, Mrs J Dunstone joins the staff with a great passion for the outdoors. Her priority for 2020 is to continue building strong relationships with parents as she nurtures the precious young lives entrusted to her.

Mrs H Lawler joins the Grade R teaching team. Previously of St Declan’s School for Boys, where she was head of department for the same grade, she is a self-proclaimed perfectionist. Her competitive streak will serve her well as she brings her expertise to Grace Trinity.

Although not a new member of staff, Mrs A Coetzee was appointed as Principal of the Primary School. Well loved and admired by staff and learners alike, Mrs Coetzee says she looks forward to the challenges the new post will present, as she continues to hold the Grace Trinity values of truth, unity, charity and loyalty close to her heart.

Grace Trinity School for Girls is a Christian-based private school located in the lush surroundings of the Rietvlei Nature Reserve. Now in its tenth year, the concept of sisterhood is central to its ethos of a Christ-centred approach to equipping young ladies who pass through its doors, to realise the plans God holds for their lives.
