Career insights for thousands of learners at Carnival City’s Annual Career Expo

Carnival City hosted its annual Career Day at its Big Top Arena in October 2019 to give young people who are unsure of which career path to take an opportunity to explore their options.

The event provides a platform for grade 10, 11 and 12 learners from high schools in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality to engage with potential employers from different industries, educational institutions, and career counselors amongst others. About 4000 learners attended the expo.

“Our career day offered youngsters a chance to learn more about the career opportunities available to them in various industries, as well as expose them to potential employers and educational institutions at a most-crucial stage of their education journey. It is at this stage that learners need guidance on choosing the right subjects and courses in order to pursue careers in fields that are appropriate to their personalities and strengths,” says Carnival City’s General Manager, Annemie Turk.
