Smart Air, a social enterprise and certified B-corp released their latest research on DIY face mask materials.
They have tested over 30 different materials for efficiency in filtering coronavirus sized micro particles as well as their breathability.
Filtration and breathability are vital, as some materials tested high for filtration of micro particles but they tested low for breathability.
You need a mask that you can breathe in.
According to the study the bandana, scarves, cleaning cloths and 100% cotton T-Shirt material(one layer) only captured less than 10% of the small particles.
